CSU Channel Island
Campus-Specific Admission/Graduation Requirements

Admission Requirements:

  • For fall admission, English and Quantitative Reasoning must be completed by the end of the prior summer.

Final Grade Form Procedure:
CSU Channel Islands allows students to register for classes while they are still a provisional admission.  For the fall 2008 term, students are allowed to complete admissions requirements during the summer.  All students who are admitted to the university are invited to attend a Transfer Advisement Workshop so that they may receive academic advisement as well as register for their 1st semester of classes.  Students will remain in provisional admissions status until final receipt of their summer in progress transcript.  That transcript must be received by August 15th in order for them to remain in their classes. 

            For future terms, however, all requirements for admission must be met by the preceding semester.  By the end
            of summer for spring admissions, and the end of spring for fall admissions.
 

Graduation Requirements:

  • One course in multi-cultural studies is required but it cannot be taken before transfer

  • One course in computers and technology
    **  Fully GE Certified students will not be held to computers and technology requirement.

  • A foreign language graduation requirement
    *    One semester of a language course or demonstrated proficiency through examination is required for
         graduation. The language requirement may be met by satisfying a foreign language course on the
         CSUC area C list. One semester of a language course or demonstrated
         proficiency through examination is required for graduation.

Repeated Courses Taken at Different Colleges:

  • Will honor the grading policy of the college where the credit was earned with a minimum grade of “C.”
